Let’s start with a general website review of Blogging Your Passion (including the new Webinar Series), and then we’ll get to my experience with BYP University.
Blogging Your Passion Website Review
BloggingYourPassion.com is a website that was started by Bob Lotich and Jonathan Milligan in early 2011. Their absolute passion is “helping bloggers become better bloggers.” I’ve held conversations with each of them and let me tell you, these guys know their stuff. More on that in a little bit.
There are really four sections to the Blogging Your Passion website, with Blogging Your Passion University as just one avenue of help–although it is arguably the most important. Let’s explore these in the order that they’re presented on the website.
Section 1: BYP Blog
The Blogging Your Passion Blog is truly a great free resource for those who are looking to tweak their blogs and content. Every few days, Jonathan or Bob posts an article on just about anything you would need to know about blogging and making money at it. They believe in “holding nothing back in your free, available content.” That’s huge people! That means you can learn from them without spending a dime. If you decide their advice and instruction is worth your money, you can always sign up for their e-courses.
Section 2: BYP University
Blogging Your Passion University contains a series of e-courses designed to help you regardless of whether you’re starting a blog for the very first time or you’re a seasoned blogging veteran. I’ve been blogging for over three years, made money from my websites, know many of the ins and outs of blogging for an income, and let me tell you, I’ve learned quite a bit from the Blogging Your Passion University 201 course.

Section 3: BYP Free Blog Setup
One of the most daunting tasks when it comes to starting your self-hosted blog is getting everything set up! Bob and Jonathan offer to set up a few essential elements of your blog free of charge when you purchase hosting through one of their recommended links.
This might not be for you if you’re pretty tech savvy. When I first started blogging, I set up my Bluehost hosting account and blog without help and learned a lot in the process. Yes, I made a few mistakes, but the experience was important so that I could add to my skill set. You decide what’s right for you!
Section 4: BYP Recommended Blogging Tools and Resources
There are some helpful resources and tools in this section of the Blogging Your Passion website. Pretty much everything you’ll need to launch and run a blog is here from photo to productivity tools.
Section 5: The New Webinar Series
The Webinar Series is a unique premium product that addresses five different blogging constraints so many bloggers encounter. Jonathan spent a lot of time interviewing bloggers and found that these five constraints kept coming up in conversation again and again:
- Just Getting Started
- Producing Content
- Managing Time
- Getting Traffic
- Making an Income
I can definitely identify with these constraints, but luckily solutions are offered for each of them. The solutions are given in over 9 hours of video that cover exactly how you should overcome these obstacles.
Your host for The Webinar Series is Andy Traub who is an advisor at 48Days.net and specializes in technology. He brings a lot of expertise to the table as evident from the content of this series.
Special bonuses are also given that include free downloads of all of their checklists, PDF’s, Action Plans, Spreadsheets, and all other written resources (including the “Blogging Pyramid of Success”).
Check out this video of Andy Traub and Jonathan Milligan discussing The Webinar Series and what you’ll get out of it:

Blogging Your Passion: The Creators
I’ve had the unique opportunity to become Bob Lotich’s editor at ChristianPF.com and have learned first hand his techniques on how to build, grow, and monetize a blog. I can honestly tell you that if it wasn’t for Bob, I would be years behind where I am today on The Christian Dollar.
Bob Lotich is 100% qualified to teach others how to build and maintain blogs. Not only has ChristianPF ranked #17 on WiseBread’s Top Personal Finance Blogs list (at the time of this writing), but he has a loyal following who read ChristianPF daily and actually take the time to interact with his site.
I’ve noticed that Bob does two things in his work: (1) he focuses his attention on what matters most in order to achieve longterm profits and (2) he will not sacrifice his integrity for a buck. I believe that these two qualities make Bob a person you can count on to help you grow your blog, and I’ve personally never regretted taking his advice to heart.
Jonathan Milligan first heard about blogging in the Summer of 2008 and has since bought and created multiple websites. He developed his personal mission statement in 2009: “My purpose is to use my creativity and coaching to support and inspire others to reach their full potential for the glory of God.” With Blogging Your Passion, that’s exactly what he is doing!
I’ve enjoyed listening to and reading Jonathan’s work on Blogging Your Passion. (Yes, there’s even a podcast!) He has some great tips regarding social media and has really studied up on how to get that extra bit of traffic every blogger so desperately needs.
Bob and Jonathan make a great team for teaching you how to take something you love and turn it into a fully functional and professional blog. Way to go guys!

My Experience with Blogging Your Passion University Courses
A Blogging Your Passion University review wouldn’t be complete without a few of my thoughts on the e-course. I went through several of the Blogging Your Passion videos and wrote down some observations. Here are a few specific things I’ve noticed:
First, the videos are quite large on the screen (see screenshot below). This is great because it allows you to see very clearly everything they are trying to show you. You never miss text or a click. They walk you through everything you need to do step by step.

Videos are front and center on the website. You’ll see text slideshows and view exactly what to do with screen recordings.
Second, the nature of video means that you can stop and start the content and follow along. This might seem obvious, but it is a huge advantage over other courses out there. I’ve seen plenty of eBooks on how to blog, but you just don’t get the same level of detail in pictures and text as you do with video.
Third, the content is tremendously helpful. Even on the videos where I thought I knew everything about the topic, I was surprised to find a little tweak or snippet that was helpful enough to really make a difference on my blog.
A few of the videos seemed pretty short, but other longer videos made up for it. There are just some topics such as “editing photos for your blog” that don’t really need or deserve much explanation. However, there was sometimes room for mentioning other ways to do the same thing. This is really nitpicking, and seriously, knowing one way to do something is often good enough. There is just absolutely no way to mention every possible way to improve your blog. As technology advances, the possibilities become even more endless.
With that being said, Blogging Your Passion University really rocks. I’m really excited to share it with all of you because of the potential it can bring into your lives. One aspect I’m particularly excited about is that I can show others a course they can take to “do what I do.” Never before have I found such a comprehensive guide to building a blog and making money online. If only I had come up with this idea!
My suggestion is to watch and implement one of the videos daily. This seems to be a good pace for those who have busy lifestyles. Don’t get overwhelmed and go through a bunch of the videos at once! There is a lot of content to learn and you should take it all in very slowly.
This Blogging Your Passion review gives the overall experience a 10 out of 10. Bravo!
Imagine what you could do with the information in Blogging Your Passion University! You can literally learn how to work from home and get paid for it. Better yet, you’ll be working in your passion–whatever it is! Pretty sweet.
How I Know This Stuff Works
I know that the courses in Blogging Your Passion work because I’ve used the same principles to quit my day job and make a living off of writing, editing websites, and making money through advertising. I actually receive checks from Google. I actually receive money in PayPal from people in other states. I actually work from home!
Blogging Your Passion is the real deal.
Don’t think this is a get-rich-quick scheme; it’s not. You’re not going to become wealthy overnight. Instead, you’re going to work long hours writing great content, learning how to code some HTML, and consuming a lot of material so you can share it with your readers.
